[HHL gGmbH - 27.10.2015] HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management will award three Fridtjof Nansen Memorial Scholarships specifically designed for refugees who wish to continue their education in Germany. The full scholarships for the two Master in Management programs (MBA and M.Sc.) are reminiscent of Fridtjof Nansen (1861-1930), who was awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize for his contribution to the international aid to refugees. The scholarships will cover the tuition fees as well as the cost of living. Refugees with a first academic qualification, who have gained some initial professional experience, provide records of excellent academic and extracurricular performances and apply for HHL's full-time M.Sc. program starting in March 2016 or the full-time MBA program starting in September 2016, are eligible for this support. For the M.Sc. in Management a first degree in business studies is required, for the MBA program a first academic degree regardless of the field of studies. HHL Dean Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart says, "Responsibility is a crucial principle of our actions and is deeply rooted in our mission statement. By helping refugees in various ways, with activities bundled at HHL by the 'Voice of Hope' group, we would like to make an active contribution to relieving the current humanitarian situation. The three full Fridtjof Nansen Memorial Scholarships for our two Master's programs will allow exemplary refugees to study at the first business school established in Germany and to start a career."
