Paderborn/Istanbul. Wincor Nixdorf has received an order from Halkbank, one of Turkey’s leading banks, covering the supply and installation of 840 multifunctional automated teller machines (ATMs) equipped with cash deposit modules (CDM). Apart from dispensing banknotes and coins, the systems boast functions such as automated cash deposits, and are fitted with cutting-edge security technology. Rollout of the systems has already begun and should be completed by the end of 2011. Wincor Nixdorf will also be handling maintenance services after installation.

By installing 840 additional ATMs, Halkbank is increasing its self-service estate to a total of 2300 systems. In order to relieve bank staff of routine tasks and offer customers 24/7 service, Turkish banks equip their self-service systems with a wide range of additional functions. Thus, both cash deposits and the dispensing of coins are among the standard functions customers can expect in the self-service zones of Turkish banks.

One of Halkbank’s main priorities is to ensure the security of transactions at its ATMs. The bank has therefore fitted its devices with the very latest in security technology in order to thwart skimming or cash-trapping attacks.
