[Axiros - 08.05.2012] Norwegian company Altibox decided on Axiros M2M Platform Axperience to safeguard their Smart Home strategy
Axiros, the technology leader in Open Device Management for telecommunication, media and energy market, today announced that Altibox, a company in the Lyse group, has selected the Axiros M2M solution Axperience as part of its Residential Alarm Service. The Altibox Residential Alarm Service is a fully managed hardware and software solution for home security, positioned as a VAS on top of the triple play service already offered by Altibox.
Axiros has been a long term technology supplier and partner to Altibox for Device Management in triple play services; Axperience is now complementing the Axiros solution platform at Altibox by providing a flexible platform for device configuration and administration, message brokering and delivery of smart home functionality.
Axperience stems from a decade of experience in broadband connectivity and device management and incorporates all the necessary functionality to allow a telco operator to successfully manage the connected home environment. It addresses the challenges posed by the smart home and innovative connected devices for home automation including managing a large variety of devices in the home network, device accessibility and manageability from the home hub device, and control of customer QoS/QoE. The modular and highly scalable architecture of Axperience is 100% compliant with carrier-grade requirements for these critical services.
The flexibility of the Axperience platform fully supports the evolution of this new market segment.
'This agreement with Altibox crowns and confirms our efforts to extend the reach of our solutions to the automation of the connected home, which is a key differentiator between our solutions and the competition,' comments Gunther Klessinger, Axiros founder. Tore Kristoffersen, CTO at Altibox states: 'The Axperience solution enables Altibox to deliver state-of-the-art home security services in a scalable and robust way. It will be a key component of our efforts to develop services in the future; we will be delivering innovative services leveraging the most novel devices in the market to give our customers a unique experience.”
Axiros recently expanded its direct presence into new geographies with the launch of the US branch office in New York to leverage the North American market, and has been very active in the M2M and Smart Home industry segments in the past few years.
