Financial Times: HHL Among the Top 10 WorldwideKurzfassung: HHL is once again Achiever of the Year in the international Financial Times Ranking "Masters in Management 2013” / HHL Alumni score in terms of Career Perspectives and Salaries
[HHL gGmbH - 16.09.2013] Ranking 9th and being rewarded achiever of the year three years in a row (2012: 11th, 2011: 19th, 2010: 38th), HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management receives extraordinary results within the worldwide leading "Masters in Management” Ranking of the Financial Times (FT) this year. With this, HHL surpasses several renowned national and international universities. The ranking is proof of the exceptional career perspectives of the M.Sc. Program at the most traditional business school in the German speaking area in Europe. HHL reaches third worldwide in terms of salaries of its alumni.
The FT-Ranking "Masters in Management” which includes 70 business schools is one of the most extensive and important international rankings for Master Programs focusing on General Management.
The ranking uses data from two different surveys. One focuses on the current situation of alumni that have graduated at the respective school three years ago. Additional information such as the internationality, the structure of the business school and the program are collected from the school itself.
Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, HHL Dean, says: "The ranking is a validation of our HHL Future Concept innovate125. It also motivates us to position HHL with all its programs to be among the top 10 graduate business schools in Europe. With the extension and the internationalization of the faculty as well as the student body, the advancement of our research profile and the expansion of our international networks we are working on further improving our position.” Looking at the salary figures of alumni included in the recent Financial Times Ranking, Prof. Pinkwart continues: "The high international competitiveness of our graduates shows: we have highly efficient students that achieve good professional career opportunities in the fields of Finance and Consulting, in the Industry and Service sectors as well as through starting their own company.” The former Minister for Innovation, Science, Research and Technology of North Rhine-Westphalia says furthermore: "This ranking, with now two German business schools among the top 10, is proof for the increasing internationalization and international recognition of German business administration as well as of university education as a whole through private business schools and the Bologna reform in the past years. They are therefore following the consistent internationalization of the German economy and are increasing their global competitiveness. For this, HHL has been amongst the pioneers. This is now paying off.”
